Study Into Kaa's Hypnosis 7: Last resistance

Sometimes the feel of Kaa's coils can make a victim somewhat aware of their situation but by this time they are too far gone to look away from the eyes. Even if they could the coils would still be too strong to over come. Kaa could end the encounter for them with one firm squeeze, but that would be too easy, and it seems he prefers to keep prey alive as long as possible. Possibly to give him a chance to play with them after they've completely succumbed. Whatever the case our victim here is one of the few who has managed to prevent falling into a trance long enough to try and fight, and her determination is evident on her face.

Despite how much struggle she may put up, her mind is too far gone to be able to resist much longer, and the spirals are traveling quite quickly. In this situation Kaa's hypnosis wasn't based on making the victim sleepy, unlike the first encounter with Mowgli, so she's able to put up a more hostile reaction.
